Download: Catalyst 7.11 (Update: erste Praxiserfahrungen mit Phenom + HD3870)
Etwas später als üblich hat AMD sein monatliches Treiberupdate für Grafikkarten veröffentlicht. Catalyst 7.11 ist sowohl für Windows XP, als auch für Windows Vista in 32 und 64 Bit erschienen.
Registrierte Nutzer können den Download direkt von unserem Server starten. Alternativ steht der Download auch auf game.amd.com zur Verfügung. Interessant ist der Hinweis, dass Crysis-Spieler weiterhin den veröffentlichten "Crysis-Hotfix-Treiber" verwenden sollen.
Update:
Wir haben mit unserem Spider-AMD-PC (Phenom 9600, 2x Radeon HD3870, AMD 790FX) erste Vergleiche zwischen dem Catalyst 7.11 und dem Crysis-Hotfix-Treiber angestellt. Der Hinweis, dass Crysis-Spieler besser beim Hotfix bleiben, ist durchaus berechtigt, wenn Sie einen Blick auf unseren Benchmark werfen.
Was der Benchmark nicht zeigt: Der Catalyst 7.11 sorgt für deutlich sichtbare Bildfehler in Crysis. Unter anderem verschwinden die Steine in unserem Benchmark. Mehr Infos zum Phenom und zur Radeon HD3870 finden Sie in der kommenden PCGH Print, die am 5.12.2007 erscheint.
