CPU Benchmarks

The processor benchmarks also take place in the sixth chapter of the main game (Siege - Part I). We wait until the gigantic gate has swung wide open, and then we rush into the action. This scene is one of the most CPU-intensive sections we were able to find in The Dark Ages. You can follow the exact sequence in the video, as well as the graphics settings used. As always, we warmly invite you to recreate our scene—not only to verify our numbers but also to better assess your own system. The benchmark is repeated by reloading the checkpoint.

As demanding as path tracing is on graphics cards, the CPU requirements for Doom: The Dark Ages are low. Even an older six-core processor like the Ryzen 5 3600 can deliver 60 FPS in demanding scenes, and even doubling the frame rate doesn't require a high-end processor. The fastest systems break the 150 FPS mark. Thanks to excellent frame times with minimal latency, the game leaves nothing to be desired.
