Asrock 680i-Platine schneller als Nvidias 780i-Referenz-Mainboard
Asrock veröffentlichte die Testergebnisse seines neuen Mainboards Penryn16000SLIX3-WIFI und sorgt für eine kleine Überraschung.
Asrocks neue SLI-Platine Penryn1600SLIX3-WIFI setzt auf Nvidias Nforce 680i-Chipsatz und unterstützt Triple-SLI. Vorab ließ man nun einen Vergleichs-Benchmark von der Leine, der das neue Mainboard mit Nvidias 780i-Referenz-Platine vergleicht.
Asrock kann sich mit dem älteren Chipsatz gut in Szene setzten und distanziert das Referenz-Mainboard ein gutes Stück im 3D Mark 06. Zum Einsatz kamen ein Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, drei Asus EN8800GTX in Drei-Wege-SLI-Konfiguration und zwei GiByte Hauptspeicher vom Typ DDR2-800.
Das Ergebnis: Im 3D Mark 06 fehlen dem 780i-Chipsatz rund 1.000 Punkte auf Asrocks neues Zocker-Board mit 680i-Chipsatz.
