Microsoft hat in seinem offiziellen Windows-Blog bekannt gegeben, dass es kein "Update 2" für Windows 8.1 geben wird. Vielmehr sollen die Änderungen nun in den normalen Patch-Days (jeden zweiten Dienstag im Monat) einfließen, sodass man nicht mehr monatelang auf wichtige Updates warten müsse. Der Fokus liegt damit wohl eindeutig auf Windows 9.
