Gears of War 3-Test: Sieben Mal 100 Prozent - Internationale Presse zeigt sich begeistert von dem Shooter

Noch bevor die Shooter-Highlights Battlefield 3 und Modern Warfare 3 hierzulande erscheinen, haben Xbox-360-Besitzer allen Grund zur Freude. Der exklusiv-Titel Gears of War 3 erscheint nämlich am 22. September uncut in Deutschland. Der Shooter von Epic Games könnte ein richtiger Blockbuster werden, jedenfalls wenn man den bisherigen Pressekritiken Glauben schenkt. Die internationalen Kollegen vergeben nämlich sieben Mal eine 100-Prozent-Wertung für Gears of War 3, nur neun von insgesamt 55 Wertungen fallen unter die 90er-Marke. Bei metacritics.com erhält der Shooter einen Score von 91 und platziert sich damit vor Limbo und Deus Ex Human Revolution.

Das Magazin Gamer's Temple vergibt 99 von 100 Punkten und schreibt unter anderem: "Wenn man nicht geschworen hat, Gewalt als Unterhaltungsmittel zu verabschieden, dann gibt es keinen Grund Gears of War 3 zu überspringen - es hat alles, was man von einem Shooter verlangt und tut das alles auf dem höchsten grafischen Level." Auch die Kollegen von Videogamer sind überzeugt von dem Shooter, auch wenn hier nur 90 von 100 Punkten vergeben werden: "Wenige Spiele bieten mehr an als Gears of War 3 und noch weniger Spiele schaffen es, das so toll umzusetzen." Einer der ersten deutschen Reviews kommt von Golem.de, die von der Action des Titels begeistert sind, allerdings auch einige kritische Töne finden. "Was für ein Spaß! Gears of War 3 ist leichtgängige Unterhaltung vom Allerfeinsten. Es gibt nicht viele Actionspiele, in denen es ähnlich viel Abwechslung gibt, in denen ständig Neues passiert - und die trotzdem an nahezu jeder Stelle so rund wirken. Das Ding ist auch ein erstklassiges Beispiel für ein Programm, das wirklich zu Ende entwickelt wurde und bis in Details hinein geschliffen wirkt. Wer allerdings in einem derartigen Shooter nach echten Herausforderungen sucht, könnte sich zumindest in der Standardschwierigkeitsstufe unterfordert fühlen. Für gemütliche Abende auf dem Sofa ist das Programm bestens geeignet.
