Dead Space 2 im Test: Internationale Wertungen bisher sehr gut

Dead Space 2 wird in Deutschland am 4. Februar 2011 für PC, Playstation 3 und Xbox 360 auf den Markt kommen. Schon jetzt wurden die ersten Tests des Horror-Shooters veröffentlicht (allerdings für die Xbox 360), der Titel wurde bisher noch nicht unter 90 Prozent bewertet.

Der Spieler schlüpft in Dead Space 2 wieder in die Rolle des Kommunikationsingenieur Isaac Clarke, die Story wird am ersten Teil anknüpfen. Der Titel wird diesmal auf einer Raumstation spielen, diese enthält beispielsweise Kirchen, Einkaufszentren und Schulen. Die Raumstation ist deutlich größer als das Raumschiff Ishimura aus dem ersten Teil von Dead Space.

Erstmals wird es in Dead Space 2 einen Multiplayer-Modus geben, in diesem kämpfen vier Menschen gegen vier Nekromorphs, im Multiplayer-Modus müssen verschiedene Aufträge aus dem Dead Space-Universum erledigt werden. Einige Maps sind nur für den Multiplayer-Modus entwickelt worden und sind im Singleplayer-Modus nicht zu finden.

Years have passed since the first game, and Dead Space 2 doesn't surprise us as much as the original did, but it has reinvented itself very well. The main character and its new situation help create interest and surprises, and offer us much more. And, again, it knows how to create that thrilling tension which makes it a great horror game.

The shocking moments, the gruesome deaths, and the fun of playing through this experience again and again are what I took away from this one.
