Arcania Gothic 4 - Patch 2 als Download veröffentlicht

Jowood und Spellbound haben Patch 2 für Arcania Gothic 4 veröffentlicht. Der zweite Patch behebt bestehende Bugs und soll auch die Spielegeschwindigkeit verbessern. (Florian Eitel, 24.11.2010)

Schon vor einem Monat sollte der zweite Patch für Arcania Gothic 4 kommen. Neben kleineren Bugfixes, über die es damals keine Infos gab, sollte vor allem die Unterstützung von 3D Vision nachgepflegt werden. Nun ist Patch 2 endlich verfügbar, er wird entweder als Auto-Update oder manuell eingespielt. Unter anderem soll die Spielegeschwindigkeit verbessert werden. Laut Changelog (leider nur auf Englisch) behebt Patch 2 auch zahlreiche (kleinere) Probleme technischer Art.

Gothic 4 Patch 2:

FIXED: Interruption of interactions with sword strikes
FIXED: Acknowledgements playback after loading a savegame
FIXED: Jump interrupted by FMV freezed character
FIXED: Cool down in the inventory screen
FIXED: Reduced ocean clipping problem for Stereoscopic 3D
FIXED: Arrows stick on already disintegrated Demon
FIXED: Stamina consumption while sprinting with equipped spells added
FIXED: SLI issues & optimizations
FIXED: Crash on vista machines when starting the game on the second adapter while the first adapter was disabled
FIXED: Stereoscopic 3D can be deactivated from the NVIDIA control panel before launching game
FIXED: Pickable item restoration
FIXED: Multiple CPU profiles in process manager
FIXED: Clouds use dynamic vertex buffer for frequent locking
FIXED: Performance problem with terrain tile generation
FIXED: Performance bug in trails
FIXED: Rare crash when arrows stuck in players vanished
FIXED: Additional unnecessary loading screen when using a teleport stone-need

Inzwischen ist ja Fall of Setarrif offiziel und ich bin auch schon heiß drauf.
Frag mich bloß, ob sie die Patches dort gleich mit integrieren?
Ist zwar nicht schlimm wenn nicht, aber würde schon Sinn ergeben.

Also ich verstehe zwar die Kritik am neuen Spiel, bin aber der Meinung, dass es trotzdem gut gelungen ist. Es hat zwar nicht mehr alles das was ein Gothic 2 oder 3 noch gehabt hat, ist aber dennoch auch für die, die keine Fans der Gothic-Reihe sind zu empfehlen. Und wenn die paar kleinen Bugs noch behoben werden und noch DLC's kommen ist es rundum gelungen. Auch wenn es etwas anders ist als die Vorgänger.

Naja hatte eigentlich vor mir das Game zu holen aber das
was ich hier lese sollte wohl besser die Finger davon lassen
oder warten bis es das Spiel als "low budget" gibt.
Fand eigentlich das G1 und G2 von PB richtig gute Games waren bzw. sind.
