Bahnhof? Mein Firefox (3.5.7) läuft als 64-Bit-Version? Das Ding ist freie Software. Es hindert nichts daran, den Browser für eine beliebige Plattform zu kompilieren. (Habs auch nicht selber gemacht, nutze Linux für AMD64, da ist der Firefox auch für AMD64 kompiliert. i386-Unterstützung muss ich extra nachinstallieren, wenn ich das will.)
PS: Die Plugins werden eh nicht in Bytecode umgesetzt. Den dürfte die Architektur sowas von egal sein.

Wenn du dir davon DAS große Geschwindigkeitsplus erhoffst, dann kannst du dir den Fuchs ja selbst durch den Compiler jagen
