Microsoft Patchday August 2009: Nine Security bulletins announced
Next Tuesday is Microsoft's Patchday for August. This time nine Security Bulletins have been announced.
The next Patchday is coming up on Tuesday. All in all nine Security Bulletins have been announced and will close vulnerabilities in the Microsoft products: Eight will affect the windows operating systems and Microsoft Office while one of the patches is apparently intended for Mac software.
Five of the nine Bulletins have been rated critical and affect Office, Windows itself and a up to now unspecified Mac software - all of them close vulnerabilities that allow attackers to infect systems with malicious code.
The other four updates fix problems in windows and Microsoft .NET Framework and have been rated as important - detailed information about the vulnerabilities and the according Bulletins has of course not been revealed by Microsoft. For more information about the Security Bulletins see the Microsoft Technet.
