25 former Microsoft employees got more money than they actually should. According to ZDNet Microsoft now decided that the overpayment doesn't have to be refunded. Thus the company reacted to the harsh critique that followed the request to give back the money directed at the ex-employees. All in all 25 former members of Microsoft's workforce can now keep the money. 20 other of the laid off workers on the other hand did not receive their full severance payment, but Microsoft already announced to cover those gaps immediately.
