Is Intel going to skip Windows Vista?
While some people are happy with Microsoft's latest mainstream operating system, others still oppose to leave Windows XP behind.
Winfuture reports that even Microsoft's biggest partner doesn't have a reason to change to the new operating system. The company in question is nobody less than Intel. They are said to have announced in May 2007, to switch to Vista as soon as the first Service Pack is released. But although SP1 is available now, they did not change the operating system, yet.
The reason for this is the incompatibility of the software company is using. Although Microsoft emphasizes, that the most popular applications are supported, Intel is supposed to think about skipping Vista and wait for Windows 7.
