Adobe is another company that has to deal with the worldwide financial crisis. Accordingly the producer of Photoshop and Acrobat lower the financial projection. Instead of the formerly expected revenue of 952 million US-Dollars, Adobe now calculates with an income of only 915 million US-Dollars. The profit is expected to be about 0.45 to 0.46 Dollars per share.
The employees have to suffer from the consequences of the lower revenue: Adobe announced that 600 jobs have to be cut worldwide. The dismissals are part of a reorganization program that Adobe hopes to soften the consequences of the financial crisis with, says zdnet.de.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen explained that the crisis has noticeable consequences on the income of the fourth financial quarter. Steps have been taken to lower operative costs and to concentrate resources on important key projects.
