Fluidmark: New physics benchmark released
Benchmarks to check the power of graphics cards are a common thing today. But applications that check the capabilities for physics calculation are rare.
The programmer oZone3D, who made the Furmark, created such a tool: the Fluidmark. The program is based on Nvidia's Physx Engine and checks the physics calculation capabilities of CPUs, Ageia cards and Physx compatible Nvidia GPUs. The visual part of the benchmark requires a OpenGL 2.0 compatible graphics card. Nvidia's Physx driver - version 8.08.01 at least - is required, too.
