Download: Winpatrol 15.5.2008.0 - Windows surveillance
Many applications install automatically launched Windows processes - often this happens without the user noticing. The tool Winpatrol recognizes such attempts and informs you about them.
At a first glance Winpatrol is similar in appearance like Microsoft's Autoruns: It displays the startup applications, services browser expansions and other things that can hide out on a Windows system in several windows. All entries can be deleted or delayed in their schedule. But the program can do even more.
If it is running in the background, all those places are monitored. When a piece of software secretly tries to write itself into the startup routine, or changes the browser default homepage or file correlations, Winpatrol reports those actions. Even cookies can be monitored and deleted at wish.
The recently released version 15.5.2008.0 contains several improvements - especially for 64 Bit versions of Windows. Follow this link to download the free version. As a registered user you can get the tool from our servers, too. Winpatrol runs on Windows XP and Vista.
