Download: Furmark 1.6.3 - stress test for graphics cards
Furmark is known for stressing and heating up GPUs with the visualization of a furry donut. Now version 1.6.3 recognizes the Catalyst 9.1 WHQL and supports OpenGL 3.0.
The new Furmark version 1.6.3 is ready for download. Ozone3D's extreme stress test for graphics cards offers a live feed of the GPU temperature and is one of the first programs to use OpenGL 3.0 (and version 2.1 as a fallback of course).
OpenGL 3.0 is only used as a "container”, as a so called Render-Context - the render jobs don't differ from those of the OpenGL 2.1 path. If you want to test the differences with an OpenGL 3.0 card, you can deactivate OGL 3 with the command line parameter /no_gl3_ctx. Up to now only Nvidia's graphics cards since the Geforce 8 series offer the appropriate support, but current Radeon cards should be supplied with a compatible driver soon.
Version 1.6.3 of Furmark is currently not available at Ozone 3D, but at Geeks3D.com. Logged in community members of PCGH can also use the One-Click-Download below.
Ozone3d.net's JegX announced that the String ID is buggy and thus causes crashes so that Furmark 1.6.3 still uses the 2.1 render path for Radeon graphics cards.
