Download: Furmark 1.6.0 - stress test for graphics cards
Furmark is known for stressing and heating up GPUs with the visualization of a furry donut. Only recently the new version 1.6.0 has been released
PC Games Hardware uses Furmark for stress tests, too.
The latest version of the stress test from Ozone3d.net offers a comfortable live feed for the GPU temperature and is one of the first programs that uses Open GL 3.0 (and still 2.1 of course).
OpenGL 3.0 is only used as a "container”, as a so called Render-Context - the render jobs don't differ from those of the OpenGL 2.1 path. If you want to test the differences with an OpenGL 3.0 card, you can deactivate OGL 3 with the command line parameter /no_gl3_ctx. Up to now only Nvidia's graphics cards since the Geforce 8 series offer the appropriate support, but current Radeon cards should be supplied with a compatible driver soon.
