Thermaltake power supply with Hybrid SLI certification
Thermaltake releases three new high-end power supply units with 1,000, 1,200 and 1,500 watt capacity and a Hybrid SLI certification.
Hybrid SLI is Nvidia's energy saving feature, which powers down the discrete graphics cards for 2D applications and runs with the integrated graphics accelerator only. With the new certificate Thermaltake promises that the three new PSUs won't go down to their knees because of the Hybrid SLI.
The three devices of the Toughpower series have, according to tcmagazine, an efficiency of more than 85 percent and offer four individual 12 Volt rails. Cooling is done by a 140 mm fan and cable management is included, too. The two bigger models with 1,200 respectively 1,500 watt are said to be able to deal with three Geforce GTX 280 in 3 way SLI, while the little brother with 1,000 watt can feed only two.
