The Scourge Project: Co-op Shooter to be released in 2009
The Scourge Project is a Third-Person Co-op Shooter that looks quite promising. The game is based on the Unreal Engine 3 and developed by the Tragnarion Studios.
The announcement of The Scourge Project has something that could be compared with a hit and run accident. The reason for this bold comparison: After the official announcement on Tuesday the Unreal Engine 3 based Third-Person Shooter is supposed to be released via Steam even before Christmas already. Console gamers (PS3 and Xbox 360) will get the game, too, but not until March 2010 though. Up to now the Spanish developers of Tragnarion studios had been known for their Nintendo DS game Doodle Hex.
The Scourge Project will have an extensive multiplayer part where people can compete in the classic game modes Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Frontiers. Furthermore there will be a Co-op mode that is supported by a storyline. Up to four players can participate simultaneously. Each figure has a special task making the game a unique experience for each of the layers. All in al it could be worth completing the game up to four times.
Omar, Salleh, Dame Director at Tragnarion Studios, hinted that this is the first part of a Saga and emphasizes the four individual figure related plots which are embedded in the central story. Part one contains two episodes with four levels. Additional releases of course depend on the success of part one, too.
