Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Copy Protection
Activating Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor hasn't been easy. PC Games Hardware has access to the version 2.500 (Retail). As it is the case with almost any game, you have to type in a serial number during the installation. But after that you have to face the first challenge: No matter if you want to play the solo part or the multiplayer of Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, you always have to create an account at Relic first. After the registration a 1.5 MiByte big patch is downloaded. During our test the download took unusually long. But even now you can't play Tales of Valor yet. After starting the game another patch, about 100 MiByte big, is downloaded. This took more than one hour! After all you are ready to play now at last.
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Minimal system requirements

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Technology and options
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor supports, like its predecessor, multi-core processors and DirectX 10. Although the minimal system requirements list only 1 GiByte RAM, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor nevertheless used 2 GiByte during our tests. Vsync cannot be turned off ingame - you have to start the game with a command line. The video settings offer many options, but even after small changes the game has to be restarted and you have to log in again. Relic also integrated a performance benchmark.
