Not always, the press and the public share their opinion wether a game is good or bad. Ideally, both sides draw the same conclusion. But there are extreme cases, where the opinions diverge most significantly. PC Games Hardware presents to you some hardship cases. This time we present games which players liked better than the press.
If the press' and the public opinion about a game differ too strongly, there's always a lot to discuss. Wasn't there enough time for the testing editor to really get into the game? Have bugs remained unspotted? Did patches noticeably increased the gaming experience shortly after the test? Do users grade games badly without actually testing the game they blemish?
Presumably, there are lots of reasons for a game to be judged unequally.
