Eidos: Layoffs in spite of 1.5 million sold copies of TR: Underworld
Tomb Raider: Underworld has not met the estimated sales so that Eidos and Crystal Dynamics seem to draw consequences.
Serious times for publisher Eidos: Reportedly, despite the sound sales of Tomb Raider: Underworld studio Crystal Dynamics seems to face layoffs. 30 positions have supposedly been cut.
Eidos confirms that the latest game around the archaeologist Lara Croft has not quite fulfilled the expectations yet. Particularly the slow sales in North America are supposed to be responsible for this situation. Nor did the company's annual revenue meet the expectations either. 180 to 200 million pounds were previously forecast. The adjusted figures now say 160 to 180 million pounds.
