Starcraft 2 to have extensive Havok support
Yesterday we reported that Starcraft 2 is unlikely to have multi core support, due to the long time it is in development. Today there is some more info about the physical effects.
Starcraftwire.net published an article that deals with the details of the system requirements and especially with the physics engine. Accordingly the Havok Engine could deliver physical effects we haven't seen up to now.
According to Starcraftwire Havok will be an important feature of Starcraft 2, but it's up to Blizzard to decide what to do with the physics engine. Probably it will be used to calculate movements of figures or units and their interaction with the environment.
