Photorealistic Renderings: The game graphics of the future?
In matters of quality offline renderings are still far ahead of real-time rendered pictures. PC Games Hardware presents works by Fabrice D and Fygomatic, who specialized on rendering female celebrities and Science Fiction characters.
Fabrice D and Fygomatic both are masters of their trade. While Fabrice D works with Vue, a software series from E-on software, Fygomatic uses Poser, a program that is specialized for animation and design of figures. Both artists are active members of the digital arts community Renderosity.
Fygomatic is mainly dealing with celebrities like Sophia Loren, Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman or Adriana Lima and updates his portfolio at Renderosity on a regular basis. Fabrice D also presents digital beauties, characters and Science Fiction pictures in his portfolio at Renderosity.
Given the current developments in the sector of real-time rendering or for example the recent introduction of Nvidia's Optix Ray Tracing engine, what is your opinion on the renderings shown in the gallery.
