Uncharted 2: Screenshots of the PS3 Multiplayer Beta show fantastic graphics
Uncharted 2 is supposed to spice up the video game market in October. Although the action adventure is a PS3 exclusive title PC Games Hardware shows impressive screenshots of the multiplayer beta.
In December 2008 Pc Games Hardware showed screenshots of Uncharted 2, a title that will be published for the PS3 exclusively. The game is supposed to boost the console market again. Back then two primary opinions evolved: The provoking thesis that Uncharted 2 could possibly rival the PC graphics of Crysis, caused a lot of arguments.
Now the first screenshots of the recently launched Beta phase of Uncharted 2 have been published. User dildo4u posted the pictures in the 3D Center Forum. The screenshots show city levels in Tibet as well as a snow covered temple. The graphics style is rather colorful than realistic. In some situation Uncharted 2 delivers impressive texture details as well as water and particle effects. But in matters of draw distance the developers have to use tricks in order to create a environment that doesn't exceed the calculating power of the Cell CPU and the Nvidia RSX chip (based on G70).
What do you think about the Uncharted 2 screenshots? Can die PS3 game compete with the graphics possible on the PC? Give your opinion in the comments.
