The stars of Red Alert 3: Uprising - cast revealed
The universe of Command & Conquer is known for the laboriously created cut scenes and Red Alert 3 is no exception. Now the cast and new screenshots of the add-on Uprising have been revealed.
Fans of C&C Red Alert 3 will get some new material in March. According to publisher EA the add-on Uprising will be revealed by then. The standalone Red Alert 3 extension will be PC exclusive and initially the files will be available as download only. Currently there are no plans to sell hard copies of the game, but possible there will be a bundle with the main game some day.
The screenshots primarily show new buildings and units as well as the Empire's Giga Fortress. Also inside our picture gallery: The cast of celebrities appearing in the game's cut scenes. Among them are Jamie Chung (Dragonball Evolution), Ric Flair (16 times World Heavy Champion), Malcolm McDowell (Heroes, Clockwork Ornage, Wing Commander), Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Prison Break), Holly Valance (Neighbours) and the fans' favorites Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic.
Uprising: The game
The multiplayer and coop parts of the original Red Alert 3 are not affected by Uprising and only the single-player mode is extended. According to EA there are four new mini campaigns, one for each fraction, and a special campaign that deals with the story of the Japanese character Yuriko. A new mode called Commander's Challenge allows the player to compete with other commanders in 50 challenges.
Uprising deals with the aftermath of Red Alert 3: The Soviets recover from their defeat and the Empire tries to recover its honor and identity. The apparently victorious Allied are threatened by corruption and treason.
