Rockstar: GTA V release in 2011?
GTA V is said not to be released before 2011, but GTA fans will be supplied with additional content in 2010.
The rumor mill is turning: Rockstar's fifth GTA apparently won't be released before 2011. While talking to analysts Take Two CEO Ben Feder mentioned: "Our goal for fiscal year 2010 is to operate the company profitably ... without a new multi-platform ‘Grand Theft Auto' release,” and he added "I don't think any more clarification is required”, when asked if this would also rule out any new part of the GTA series.
At videogamer.com Wedbush Morgan Analyst Peter Pachter said that the Take Two management would have confirmed the development of GTA V and that the game has been worked on for more than a year already.
But according to a report at ps3informer.com GTA fans won't have to wait until 2011 before they get more of the game. Besides the already released, Xbox 360 exclusive add-ons The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned, there will be additional episodes of GTA IV. If those will be console exclusive or if they will be published for the PC, too, is still unknown.
