Eidos: Kane & Lynch 2 confirmed, Hitman sequel planned
Since Eidos was taken over by Square Enix the British publisher seems to concentrate on the existing brands. Kane &Lynch 2 has officially been announced and a Hitman Sequel is said to be planned.
After the speculations around Thief 4 have been confirmed, it seems like Edios is planning with other popular brands. Kane & Lynch 2 has officially been announced and rumors about a sequel of the Hitman series are coming around.
The works on Kane & Lynch 2 are said to have reached a stage in development that a release in September would be possible. Ian Livingston of the developer IO Interactive confirmed the development and the approximate release date. But the date would only be possible if the developers don't encounter any problems. Kane & Lynch 2 is said to be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
The information about a new Hitman game is a little vaguer. IO Interactive is also responsible for this development. In an interview with gamingindians.org Livingston said that the sequel is already under construction. But more information than that the Hitman is coming back, has not been revealed yet.
Currently Eidos Montreal is working on Thief 4 - so only the announcement of Deus Ex 3 is missing to complete Eidos' sequel lineup. The new Tomb Raider is also said to be in an early stage of development and is supposed to surprise the gamers.
