Shattered Horizon: Most demanding game ever?
Futuremark is looking for beta testers for Shattered Horizon, their zero gravity shooter with probably the most demanding system requirements ever.
After six months of silence in space, Futuremark is back again with Shattered Horizon. Gamers may try to get one of the keys to a non public beta of Shattered Horizon. You have to be 18+, and the keys will be released in summer.
The minimum (!) system requirements for Shattered Horizon are pretty hefty. Take a look:
• OS: Windows Vista
• DirectX 10 graphics card
• dual core cpu
• Steam account
• broadband internet
If these requirements apply for the final version as well, Shattered Horizon might become the most demanding PC game ever. Hopefully, the guys at Futuremark optimize the game during the beta to get the specs down to normal. Currently, the specs are way above the minimum requirements of Crysis (WinXP, DX9 graphics card, single core cpu). Shattered Horizon also supports Physx.
