The Sims 3: Players complain about prices for additional contents
90 Cent for a dress, 1.20 Euro for a new hairstyle: Players are outraged. But there is more: The pricing of the European and American version is unequal.
Sims 3 players feel unfairly treated by publisher EA. Additional contents such as a new hairstyle for characters or furniture for the virtual home are offered in the official Sims store - but at a very high price. For example just one new hairstyle is available for an equivalent of 1.20 Euro, pants or a dress cost 0.90 Euro.
You buy your items with so-called Simpoints - with registration of the game players get 1,000 Simpoints for free. Every additional 1,000 cost 12 Euro.
The so-called sets - several concerted fitments - are extremely expensive. The Hewnsman containing 47 items of woodwork already costs 2,000 Simpoints which is 24 Euro.
Players especially complain about the fact that US customers do not have to pay that much for new items: 1,000 Simpoints cost 10 USD/7.15 Euro instead of 12 Euro in Europe. According to the report on golem.de EA has not made any comments yet.
