Fear 2: Project Origin - demo released, first screenshots
The PC demo version of Fear 2: Project Origin has been released. We played the demo to deliver some facts and screenshots.
F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin: Introduction
In the demo version of Fear 2 you don't just have to face normal soldiers or Alma but also the E.P.A.s - Elite Powered Armor Units. Since you can steer one of those armors yourself, you can use the integrated machine guns and rockets to blow enemies and the level to bits - literally. Like the first part there are many thrilling situations and splatter effects with a lot of blood. Due to Slow Motion feature the combats can be slowed down in order to increase accuracy with the weapons at hand.
F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin: Graphics and Sound
The slightly ”consolish” visualization is on a high level: Particles, explosions and typical slow motion effects with bullets passing close by, are convincing - but some players might not like the graining and the geometry that sometimes appears to have a low number of polygons. The sound is very good - especially the cut scenes and combats are almost perfectly synchronized.
