Resident Evil 5: PC version hinted - Update: PC version announced, support for Geforce 3D
As Capcom develops Resident Evil 5 on the PC, there is hope that the horror game will come to PC as well.
Speculations that Resident Evil 5 will become available for PC, too, are based on the fact that the game is developed on the PC and then adapted for consoles. This is the standard way for Capcom and their multi platform engine.
So there is hope for PC gamers that the message "PS3 and 360 only" is just for the moment. Check out our gallery and the video to see what PC gamers may expect from Resident Evil 5.
Update May 4, 2009
As PC Games Hardware has expected back in September 2008, Capcom now announced to release the PC version of resident Evil 5 during the second half of 2009. Thus it is confirmed that Capcom releases a game for the PC that was previously labeled PS3 and Xbox 360 only.
The PC version of Resident Evil 5 will even have more features that the console variants. The coop mode for example will be available online, too. Capcom furthermore announced native support for Nvidia's Geforce 3D Vision. Which features are covered by that exactly is still unclear at the moment. Nvidia doesn't necessarily need support from the developers in order to have Geforce 3D working with a game.
