Corsair Dominator GT RAM receives XMP certification for DDR3-2000
Via press release Corsair announced that the company was the first to receive a certification for Intel's XMP profile for DDR3-2000 operation.
Just recently Corsair announced via press release that the high-end memory Dominator GT series was the first to receive the XMP certification to run at 2,000 MHz (effective) on Intel motherboards.
Thus Corsair's Dominator GT series, which is specified to run at DDR3-2000 with timings of 8-8-8-24 at 1.65 volt, would be the currently fastest XMP certified RAM on the market. Corsair has apparently used an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard for the certification.
Corsair claims that the high-end memory now definitely is the first choice for overclockers. Admittedly, the corsair dominator GT DDR3-1866 already proved their quality in tests at PC Games Hardware, but Corsair already asks the money for this quality. The 6 GiByte kit Corsair XMS3 Dominator GT DIMM Kit 6GB PC3-16000U CL8-8-8-24 costs about 270 Euros and the version with lower timings of CL7-8-7-24 costs even 340 Euros.
