Mushkin introduced an extraordinary memory kit for case modders and fans of extravagant hardware. The two DDR2-800 modules with a capacity of 2,048 MiByte have a black PCB and golden ornaments.
The modules are supposed to run with latencies of 4-4-4-12 at 2.0 to 2.1 volt in DDR2-800 mode. Due to the eight layers of the black PCB Mushkin promises a better voltage feed and an increased durability compared to memory with a default PCB. For the 996580X2 kit Mushkin didn't use a heatspreader so that the modules with their golden ornaments can show to advantage.

The memory is not available yet, but the kit is supposed to cost less than 50 Euros when it is released.
