It seems like Qimonda filed for bankruptcy at the district court in Munich, Germany.
Infenion subsidiary Qimonda is broke and is said to have filed for bankruptcy.
Bad news from DRM producer Qimonda: A spokeswoman of district court in Munich, Germany, told the German Press Agency that the company filed for bankruptcy. Now, that the proposition has been handed in, it is up to the judges to decide about any further steps.
Qimonda, with facilities in Munich, Dresden and Porto, has more than 13,000 employees worldwide. Like all memory producers Qimonda also suffers from the constant price decline in the DRM business and the pressure imposed from the big Asian competitors. The global economic situation might have had its effect, too.
