OCZ releases new memory series "P45 Special"
OCZ Technology meets the growing demand for memory with a new high performance series.
The OCZ Technology Group is the first the release memory kits that are optimized for the P45 chipset. The DDR2 modules have a capacity of 4 GiByte and are currently supported by the P43 and P45 chipsets only. This enables the customer to equip his system with 8 GiByte Dual Channel kits or 16 GiByte Quad kits, those setups have only been possible in the server sector up to now.
According to Dr. Michael Schuette, vice president of the development department, this is done because of the growing share of 64 bit systems in the mass market. Furthermore multi core systems that are working on several threads simultaneously would be sped up since data doesn't have to be stored on the hard drive.
