TR3X6G1600C8D: First Corsair Triple Channel memory kit arrived at the PCGH Test Lab
After the Nehalem review kit we now received the first triple Channel memory kit from Corsair. It comes with three 2,048 MiByte modules that are said to run with latencies of 8-8-8-24 in DDR3-1600 mode. So they exceed the Intel specifications that only guarantee stable DDR3-1066 settings. The voltage of the TR3X6G1600C8D modules on the other hand matches the 1.65 volt recommended by Intel. The cooling solution looks similar to the known DHX cooling used for example on Corsair’s Dominator modules. But actually it is a new system – additional info is delivered in the subtitles of the following pictures.
