Rambus sues Nvidia
The Rambus company, one of the leading memory inventors, took action for an injunction against Nvidia.
The document, given to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, list 17 Rambus patents that are said to be violated by Nvidia. Products of the Geforce, Quadro, Nforce, Tesla and Tegra series are said to be equipped with different memory controllers, which infringe upon the patents.
According to Rambus, six years of unsuccessful communications with Nvidia, leave this legal step as the only remaining possibility. But they still hope to be able to settle an agreement with Nvidia.
