Cebit 2009: Fewer exhibitors due to financial crisis?
The Cebit 2009 takes place in Hannover, Germany on March 3 to 9. In the past years the Cebit always drew attention of more than 450,000 visitors.
The chief executive Wolfram von Fritsch estimates that in 2009 fewer exhibitors will come to Hannover and the exhibition space will be reduced, too: Many companies delay their decision about participating in the tradeshow. The Cebit will have to bear the consequences of the worldwide economic situation.
In 2008 about 5,800 exhibitors came to the Cebit and the chief executive wants to win them over again. "We fight for each company and work even harder on marketing, distribution and customer tie”, said von Fritsch as Heise Online reports.
