Operation Flashpoint 2: Screenshots of the co-op mode
Codemasters revealed a new video that introduces the co-op mode of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
The campaign of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising can also be played in co-op mode with up to four players. Teamwork and communication are the foundation for success when the gamers are trying to face off the Chinese military at Skira.
Sion Lenton, Executive Producer of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, there is no better gaming experience than playing the co-op mode since it is the ultimate challenge in the new Operation Flashpoint. The co-op mode offers the possibility to make decisions and use solutions for problems the A.I. would never think of.
In a co-op game the Host is the squad leader and the other players select their position - Medic, Sniper, Engineer or Anti Tank Specialist. The team leader is responsible for the commands and thus can order covering fire, set waypoints or flanking maneuvers. In the vehicles the players can also take different tasks, like driver, gunner, commander or copilot.
As soon as the co-op campaign is finished the individual missions can also be played stand alone games. Thus the players can jump directly into their favorite mission and play it with up to three friends. In co-op mode there will be re-spawn points at the checkpoints so the team can stay close together.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be released on October 8, 2009 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
