New high-end gaming notebooks from Rock
With the Xtreme 790 and the Xtreme 840 Notebook manufacturer Rock introduces two new high-end gaming notebooks.
The British company Rock is said to have announced two new high-end gaming notebooks. Both systems are part of the Xtreme series and are equipped with impressive hardware components. Besides a Blue-Ray optical drive and up to 1.5 terabyte storage capacity. Depending on the selected equipment the notebooks ca also have up to 6 GiByte RAM as well as a Geforce GTX 280M - a second graphics GTX 280M is optional.
While the Xtreme 790 is based on a Core i7 platform the Xtreme 840 offers a Core 2 processor. The two gaming notebooks also differ in screen size: The 790 has a 17 inch display and the 840 a 18.4 inch display.
Both notebooks come with Windows Vista Home Premium including an upgrade option to Windows 7. According to TechConnect the base price of the Xtreme 790 is 1,999 GBP (about 2,330 Euros) and 1,699 GBP (about 1,980 Euros) for the Xtreme 840.
