Intel just recently introduced the new Atom platform Pinetrail and now the first devices based on the technology are announced, too. With the Mini 10 dell wants to switch to Intel's new design. This results in new technical specifications, but otherwise things are kept as usual. Intel Atom N450 (1.66 GHz), 1 GiByte RAM, 160 or 150 GByte HDD, GMA 3150 graphics unit and 3- or 6-cell battery. Also included are WLAN and 10/100 Mbit Ethernet. Bluetooth and mobile broadband internet access are optional. The basic price is not changed: 299 USD. The list of available options is supposed to be extended with some interesting points, too: 720p display, HDTV tuner, surround sound and Broadcom Crystal HD media accelerator.
