First Nvidia Ion Netbook: Lenovo's Ideapad S12 is coming in July
With the Ideapad S12 Lenovo will probably be the first manufacturer to introduce a netbook based on Nvidia's Ion chipset with an integrated Geforce 9400 graphics unit.
The Lenovo Ideapad S12 will probably be the first netbook that offers an option for an Nvidia Ion platform. Although the Ideapad 12 isn't officially called a netbook because of its 12 inch size it nevertheless utilizes netbook hardware and is available in different configurations.
According to the first information, Lenovo uses an Intel Atom N270, a full size keyboard and Nvidia's Ion chipset. Options for Via's Nano CPU have not been ruled out. Three to six cell batteries with an according battery life in hours are said to be available, too.
The Lenovo Ideapad S12 will become available in July for less than 600 USD, says the report at pcper.com.
