Dell Latitude XT2: Long lasting Tablet PC
With the Latitude XT2, Dell has introduced a Tablet PC with a battery life of over eleven hours.
The technical specifications can be seen on the official product page. The system is based on a Core 2 Dou ULV SU 9300 (1.2 GHz) or a SU 9400 (1.4 GHz). 1 GiByte DDR3-RAM is preinstalled and up to 5 GiByte can be integrated. The graphics acceleration is doen by an Intel GMA 4500 MHD. The 12.1 inch display with its native resolution of 1,280 x 800 is available as a "Daylight Viewable LED Display”, too.
One of the key features of the Latitude XT2 is the Multi Touch technology. With this you can activate function with simple gestures on the display. The tablet stylus doesn't require a battery.
Data can either be stored on a normal hard drive (80 or 120 GByte available) or on SSDs with 64 or 128 GByte (cost extra). Depending on the selected battery, the device weights 1.64 kilograms (4 cells) or 1.72 kilograms (6 cells). With the 6-cell battery and another, optional battery the runtime is said to be increased to more than eleven hours.
The Latitude XT2 is said to cost €1.449 plus sales taxes. Dell's US-Shop lists the "Base Package” for $2,399.
