Nvidia Ion 2 said to come this year with doubled shaders
Ion 2, as Nvidia's Ion successor is currently called, is said to be released this year with twice as much shaders and smaller chip architecture.
Nvidia's successor of the Ion platform is said to be finalized until the end of this year. Ion 2, as it is currently called, will have twice as much Shader units.
Fudzilla wants to have learned from industry sources that Ion 2 will not only be shrunk but also increased graphics performance and more shader units. Nevertheless the thermal specs are not supposed to change.
Apparently Ion 2 will have 32 or more shader units (Ion: 16 shader units). According to the report the new platform is supposed to be launched within 2009.
