Need for Speed Shift slightly delayed - New screenshots - Update
EA announced that Need for Speed Shift will hit the stores a little later than expected. The release date for Europe was rescheduled from September 17 to September 24.
According to the latest information there will be a little delay in the release schedule of Need for Speed Sift. Up to now the European release was supposed to take place on September 17, but now EA lists Shift for September 24. If the release date for North America - September 22 - is delayed as well, has not been confirmed yet. It is commonly known that EA wants to go "back to the roots”. Shift is supposed to be more realistic again and with Sligthly Mad Studios (previously Blimey) EA has the right development studio for this task since they have been responsible for GTR and GT Legends already.
The technical base for the realistic driving physics and the graphics is a new engine which has been worked on for two years. Only recently EA's Jesse Abney said that Shift will be more fun than Gran Turismo - it will be interesting to see how EA fills the gap to the more realistic attempt.
