Hyundai introduces four IT Widescreen 3D displays
New 3D displays by Hyundai: The displays have especially been designed for professional users, however - at a Hyundai workshop two PC monitors and two stand-alone displays were introduced.
At a workshop Hyundai introduced the IT Stereoscopic 3D displays. Like the Nvidia 3D Vision technology those displays create a stereoscopic picture which will turn into a 3D experience while using special glasses.
The minimum specifications for the used systems are as follows:
• Intel Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2 CPU
• 1 GiByte RAM
• Nvidia Geforce 6600 or AMD Radeon X800 with DVI input
• DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
The W220S (22 inches) and the W240S (24 inches) are designed as PC monitors. The S320D (32 inches) and S465D (46 inches) are stand-alone displays which have an integrated converter chip that allows operation as 3D TV or other purposes without PC.
The displays are mainly designed for professional users who for example like to demonstrate their CAD concepts as realistic as possible. But players and multimedia fans might enjoy those displays as well.
The new displays are said to support the following games:
Battlefield 2142, Bioshock, Command and Conquer 3, Crysis, Halo 2, Madden 07 and 08, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Need for Speed Carbon and Pro Street, The Sims 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 and 08, Tomb Raider Anniversary and World of Warcraft.
Unfortunately the displays are rather expensive: The W220S costs 599 Euro and the W240S 1,399 Euro. The stand-alone displays even cost 4,799 (S320D) and 7,999 (S465D).
