Yesterday we reported about Intel's Havendale which is working with Ibex Peak. Now Expreview published additional information about the chip.

The picture of an Intel roadmap reveals that Ibex Peak will be developed and released in two different versions. Kings Creek and Piketon offer similar features, but the latter one has some additional security functions. Ibex Peak supports PCI Express 2.o, SATA, HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, USB and even Flash memory. The power supply is granted the same way as it is done with current boards.
With Ibex Peak Intel, according to current standards, wants to combine North- and Southbridge. The dual core Havendale with the integrated graphics unit is supposed to enable Intel to counterattack AMD's Fusion in 2009.
