Point of View introduces Nvidia Ion motherboard
Point of View actually is known as a graphics cards partner of Nvidia, but now the company introduced an Ion based motherboard.
According to Point of View there will be two versions of the Ion motherboard. The customer can choose between Intel's Atom 230 and Atom 330 processor. The product names will be POV/Ion230 and POV/Ion330.
Up to 2,048 MiByte DDR2-800 memory in two SO DIMM slots are supported. Furthermore the board has four SATA connectors and on PCI-Express x16 slot. The motherboards with the integrated Nvidia Geforce 9400M graphics unit offer DVI, VGA and HDMI. Four external and two internal USB connectors are onboard - a gigabit LAN port is available, too. When the boards will hit the market and how much they will cost, has not been announced yet. In our Nvidia Ion hands-on test you can get an impression of the Ion platform's capabilities.
