MSI introduces microATX G45 motherboard
The G45M Digital is a microATX Motherboard for socket 775 processors and offers an integrated graphics unit.
MSI introduced the G45M Digital, a microATX motherboard with an Intel G45 chipset. The board is compatible to socket 775 processors. It is equipped with four slots for memory modules (up to 16 GiByte DDR2-800 RAM supported), one PCI-Express x16 slot, one PCI-Express x1 slot and two PCI slots. The integrated X4500 graphics unit is passively cooled. Due to the ICH10R controller one PATA and six SATA II connectors are available.
That the G45M Digital seems to be intended for use in Home Theatre PCs can seen at the onboard 8.1 channel sound, the optical SPDIF outlet and the HDMI connector. An analog D-Sub and a digital DVI port are available, too. A gigabit LAN port, six USB 2.0 ports, one Firewire and one eSTAT connector complete the equipment.
For further information take a look at the press release, which unfortunately doesn't give a hint about the recommended retail price of the G45M Digital.
