Asus M4A785-M EVO: MicroATX board with socket AM2+ sighted
At the Computex in Taiwan Asus will introduce several new products. Among them is the M4A785-M EVO, a motherboard with a microATX format and an integrated Radeon HD 4200 graphics chip.
On the M4A785-M EVO Asus combines the new RD880G chipset with an integrated Radeon HD 4200 graphics unit and the SB710 Southbridge. The microATX motherboard offers four slots for DDR2 RAM (DDR2-1200 at max), one PCI-E x16 slot, one PCI-E x1 slot and two PCI slots.
The onboard graphics unit HD 4200, which is based on the RV620 chip, supports DirectX 10.1 and Hybrid CrossfireX. More features of the Asus M4A785-M EVO are six SATA connectors, one of which is intended for E-SATA, 7.1 audio output as well as DVI, VGA and HDMI connectors. Furthermore the board is equipped with the Express Gate Technology that allows the user to play audio files or surf in the Internet without having to use the actual operating system.
